Sample Answer:

If I were to talk about a profession that I would genuinely hate to pursue, it would have to be an underground coal miner.

I first gained insight into this job through a television documentary that depicted the daily lives of workers in northern Vietnam. The program showed miners descending hundreds of meters beneath the earth’s surface into pitch-black tunnels just to extract coal.

Technically, this line of work requires immense physical stamina, mental toughness, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Workers must be able to operate heavy machinery in cramped spaces while coping with high temperatures and low oxygen levels.

To be completely honest, I am simply not cut out for this kind of work for two primary reasons. Firstly, the extreme occupational hazards are terrifying. Underground mines are susceptible to gas leaks, cave-ins, and explosions. Even with modern technology, it remains one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. Secondly, the health consequences are devastating. Long-term exposure to coal dust often leads to severe respiratory diseases.

I deeply respect the individuals who undertake such grueling labor to keep our energy grid running. However, given the constant threat to life and the extreme physical toll, it is a high-risk, high-stress job that I could never see myself doing under any circumstances.

Sample: Younger generations, particularly Gen Z, prioritize personal well-being and purpose over mere financial survival. Therefore, a dead-end job that offers zero opportunities for career advancement or personal growth is a major dealbreaker. Additionally, toxic management styles and rigid work hours without remote options make a position highly unappealing.

Q3: Do you think automation and AI will eliminate jobs or create new ones?

Sample: It’s a double-edged sword. On one hand, AI will undoubtedly replace roles centered around monotonous and repetitive tasks, such as data entry or basic customer service. On the other hand, it will create entirely new sectors requiring complex human oversight, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking. The real challenge is whether the workforce can upskill fast enough to adapt to the changing job market.
