Bài mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 1 – Restaurants & Shopping

Ở Part 1, hãy trả lời ngắn gọn, tự nhiên và lồng ghép các tính từ chỉ thái độ phục vụ.

Q1: Do you often eat at restaurants?

Sample: Yes, I do, especially on weekends or when I’m busy and don’t have time to cook. I enjoy trying different cuisines, and eating out is also a nice way to catch up with friends.

Q2: What kind of restaurants do you like?

Sample: I prefer restaurants that serve local food because it’s usually affordable and authentic. Besides the food, I also value friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere.

Q3: Have you ever received bad service in a restaurant or shop?

Sample: Yes, unfortunately I have. Once, I waited nearly forty minutes for my food, and the staff didn’t even apologize for the delay. It was quite disappointing.

Q4: What do you usually do if you’re unhappy with a service?

Sample: If it’s a minor issue, I usually let it go. However, if the service is really poor, I’ll politely speak to a staff member or ask to talk to the manager so the problem can be resolved.

Q5: Do you usually read online reviews before visiting a restaurant?

Sample: Yes, I often do. Reviews help me avoid places with poor customer service or low-quality food. However, I don’t rely on them completely because people’s opinions can be quite different.

Bài mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 2

Đề bài: Describe a bad service you received in a restaurant or shop.

You should say:

  • Where it happened

  • What happened

  • How the staff dealt with the situation

  • And explain how you felt about the experience.

Sample Answer:

One experience that I still remember happened last year when I visited a popular restaurant with a few friends. We’d heard many positive reviews online, so we were expecting a pleasant dining experience.

When we arrived, the restaurant was quite busy, but we didn’t mind waiting. After ordering our food, however, we had to wait for almost forty-five minutes while other customers who arrived later were served before us. To make matters worse, when our food finally arrived, one of the dishes was completely different from what we had ordered.

We politely informed one of the waiters, but instead of apologizing, he simply said that the kitchen was busy and asked us to wait even longer. It wasn’t until we spoke to the manager that the problem was taken seriously. The manager apologized sincerely, replaced the incorrect dish, and even offered us a complimentary dessert as compensation.

Although the manager handled the situation quite professionally, I was still disappointed because the poor service had ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening. Since then, I always check customer reviews more carefully before trying a new restaurant. I also believe that good customer service is just as important as good food because it has a huge impact on the overall experience.

Bài mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 3 – Customer Service

Part 3 yêu cầu bạn phân tích sâu hơn về nguyên nhân, hậu quả và tầm quan trọng của dịch vụ khách hàng (Customer Service).

Q1: Why is customer service important?

Sample: Customer service plays a crucial role because it directly affects customer satisfaction. Even if a business offers high-quality products, people may not return if they’re treated badly. Good service helps build trust and encourages customers to come back.

Q2: Why do some employees provide poor customer service?

Sample: There are several possible reasons. Some employees may not receive proper training, while others may be under a lot of pressure due to heavy workloads or low salaries. Of course, there are also people who simply lack communication skills or professionalism.

Q3: Should customers always complain about bad service?

Sample: Not necessarily. If it’s only a small mistake, it’s probably better to be understanding because everyone makes errors sometimes. However, if the problem is serious or happens repeatedly, customers should make a polite complaint so the business has an opportunity to improve.

Q4: Do online reviews influence people’s decisions?

Sample: Absolutely. Nowadays, many people check online reviews before visiting a restaurant or buying a product. Positive reviews can attract new customers, while negative ones may discourage people from choosing that business. However, it’s still important to read several reviews rather than relying on just one.

Q5: What qualities should customer service employees have?

Sample: I think they should be polite, patient, and good at communicating with people. They also need to stay calm when dealing with difficult customers and be willing to solve problems quickly. In addition, being honest and responsible is essential because customers appreciate businesses they can trust.

Q6: Do you think customer service has improved because of technology?

Sample: Yes, in many ways. Customers can now contact businesses through live chat, social media, or messaging apps, making it much easier to get support. Companies can also respond more quickly and keep track of complaints more efficiently. However, technology can’t completely replace human interaction. Sometimes customers simply want to speak with a real person who can understand their concerns and offer a practical solution.
