Question 1: Do you often stay in hotels?

Sample: Yes, I do, especially when I travel to other cities. I usually choose a hotel with comfortable accommodation and a reasonable price. I don’t necessarily need a luxurious hotel, as long as the room is clean and the staff provide high-quality service.

Question 2: What do you like most about staying in a hotel?

Sample: What I like most is the convenience. Hotels usually offer a wide range of hotel facilities, such as restaurants, swimming pools and room service. I also enjoy having friendly staff who can help me whenever I need something.

Question 3: What makes a good hotel?

Sample: I think a good hotel should have a prime location, clean rooms and well-maintained facilities. Good customer service is also essential because friendly and helpful staff can make guests feel more comfortable during their hotel stay.

Question 4: Do you prefer staying in a hotel or at someone’s house when travelling?

Sample: I generally prefer staying in a hotel because it gives me more privacy and convenience. I can check in and check out easily, and I don’t have to worry about disturbing anyone. However, staying with friends or relatives can be more enjoyable if I want to spend more time with them.

You should say:

• And explain why you liked or disliked staying there.

Sample Answer:

The hotel I’d like to talk about is a small but comfortable hotel that I stayed at during a trip with my family. It was located in the center of a popular tourist city, so it had a prime location and was very convenient for sightseeing.

The hotel itself was quite modern and had a pleasant atmosphere. My family stayed in a spacious room with large windows, and we had a breathtaking view of the city. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the hotel also offered several useful hotel facilities, including a swimming pool and a restaurant.

What impressed me most was the customer service. The friendly staff were always willing to help us whenever we needed something. For example, when we wanted to visit some tourist attractions, the staff gave us useful recommendations and helped us arrange transportation.

Another thing I appreciated was that the hotel provided high-quality service at a fairly reasonable price. Although it wasn’t a luxurious hotel, I felt that it was definitely worth the money because everything was convenient and comfortable.

Overall, I really enjoyed my hotel stay there. The combination of the prime location, comfortable room and excellent service made the trip much more enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again if I had the opportunity.

In addition, hotels often have a prime location, so tourists can easily access restaurants, shopping centres and popular attractions.

Question 3: Why do some people prefer expensive hotels?

Sample: I think one major reason is the level of service. Expensive hotels usually provide high-quality service, better facilities and more privacy. Guests may also enjoy luxurious accommodation, a breathtaking view and professional customer service. For some people, these benefits are worth the money, particularly when they are celebrating a special occasion.

Question 4: How can hotels attract more tourists in the future?

Sample: Hotels should focus on improving both their facilities and customer experience. For example, they could provide more well-maintained facilities, improve room service and train staff to provide better customer service. They could also use social media and online platforms to promote their services and attract international tourists.

Question 5: Do you think technology will replace hotel staff in the future?

Sample: To some extent, yes, but I don’t think technology will completely replace hotel staff. Automated systems can make check-in and check-out faster, while artificial intelligence can help answer basic questions. However, human interaction is still important in the hospitality industry, especially when guests have special requests or problems that require personal assistance.
