Chào các bạn, mình là Hoàng Hạnh từ ECE. Tiếp nối chuỗi bài viết học thuật của trung tâm ngoại ngữ ECE về các chủ đề mới nhất trong IELTS Speaking, hôm nay chúng ta sẽ cùng khám phá một chủ đề cực kỳ thú vị nhưng cũng đầy thách thức: Beauty (Vẻ đẹp).

Chủ đề này không chỉ gói gọn trong việc miêu tả ngoại hình mà còn mở rộng ra quan điểm về cái đẹp trong nghệ thuật, thiên nhiên và xã hội. Hãy “bỏ túi” bộ từ vựng và bài mẫu cực chất dưới đây nhé!

Bộ từ vựng ăn điểm chủ đề beauty

Đừng chỉ dừng lại ở từ “beautiful”, hãy nâng cấp vốn từ của bạn với những cụm từ sau:

• Exquisite (adj): Cực kỳ tinh xảo, đẹp đẽ (thường dùng cho nghệ thuật, cảnh vật).
• Breathtaking (adj): Đẹp đến nghẹt thở (dùng cho phong cảnh).
• Inner beauty (n): Vẻ đẹp tâm hồn.
• Cosmetic surgery (n): Phẫu thuật thẩm mỹ.
• A feast for the eyes (idiom): Một bữa tiệc mãn nhãn.
• To take pride in one’s appearance: Chăm chút, tự hào về ngoại hình của mình.
• To be skin-deep: Chỉ là vẻ bề ngoài (thường dùng: Beauty is only skin-deep).
• Standard of beauty (n): Tiêu chuẩn về cái đẹp.

Q: Do you think you are a person who likes to be beautiful?

Actually, I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed with my looks, but I do take pride in my appearance. I believe that looking neat and professional is a way to show respect to others and it definitely boosts my self-confidence in daily social interactions.

Q: What kind of things do you think are beautiful?

To me, beauty is everywhere. I find exquisite pieces of art or a breathtaking sunset particularly captivating. However, I’m also drawn to acts of kindness, which I consider a form of inner beauty that is much more lasting than physical looks.

IELTS Speaking Part 2: Miêu tả một cái gì đó đẹp

Topic: Describe a beautiful place you have visited.

Sample Answer:

I’d like to talk about Ha Giang, a mountainous province in Northern Vietnam that I visited last year. To be honest, the scenery there was absolutely stunning and unlike anything I had ever seen before.

The most memorable part was the Dong Van Karst Plateau. As I drove along the winding roads, I was greeted by breathtaking limestone mountains and vast fields of buckwheat flowers. The landscape was a true feast for the eyes, with vibrant colors blending perfectly with the misty atmosphere of the highlands.

What made it even more beautiful was the authentic lifestyle of the local ethnic people. Seeing them in their colorful traditional costumes added a touch of cultural beauty to the natural scenery. I spent hours just staring at the horizon, feeling a sense of peace that I rarely find in the city. It reminded me that true beauty often lies in the most rugged and untouched places.

IELTS Speaking Part 3: Câu hỏi thảo luận

Q: Why do you think people spend so much money on beauty products or surgery?

In my opinion, it’s largely due to the influence of social media and the unrealistic standards of beauty portrayed in advertisements. People often feel pressured to look a certain way to be accepted or successful. While cosmetic surgery can help improve self-esteem for some, I think it’s important to remember that physical beauty is often skin-deep and shouldn’t be the sole focus of one’s identity.

Q: Do you think the idea of beauty has changed over the years?

Definitely. In the past, beauty standards were often very rigid and limited to certain physical traits. However, nowadays, there is a growing movement towards ‘body positivity’ and diversity. People are starting to appreciate different body types, ethnicities, and ages. The definition of beauty is becoming more inclusive, focusing more on individuality and inner beauty rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ model.
