Từ vựng & cấu trúc hay cho chủ đề teaching someone

Thay vì dùng những từ quá cơ bản như explain hay teach, hãy nâng cấp bài nói của bạn bằng các cụm từ (collocations) tự nhiên được phân loại theo từng nhóm dưới đây:

Also, I occasionally teach my grandmother how to use social media apps so she can stay connected with the family. It can be a bit of trial and error, but it’s very rewarding.

Question 3: What skills do you think are the most important to teach children?

Sample: Well, apart from academic subjects, I believe soft skills like empathy, problem-solving, and basic financial literacy are crucial. Children should learn how to manage their emotions and bounce back from setbacks from an early age, as these qualities will profoundly shape their adulthood.

Question 4: Do you prefer learning alone or learning with others?

Sample: It really depends on the subject, but generally, I lean towards collaborative learning. When you study with peers, you can bounce ideas off each other and clear up misconceptions instantly. It’s much more engaging than staring at a textbook by yourself.

Đề bài: Describe a time when you taught a friend or relative something.

You should say:

• Who you taught and what you taught them

• Why you decided to teach them this skill

• How you taught it to them

• And how you felt about the experience.

Sample Answer:

I’d like to talk about a time last summer when I taught my younger cousin, Linh, how to use a basic video editing app called CapCut so she could complete a school project.

At that time, Linh was assigned to make a short documentary about her summer vacation, but she was completely overwhelmed. She was hitting a roadblock because she had zero experience with editing software, and the deadline was just around the corner. Seeing her stressed out, I decided to lend a hand and share some basic skills that I had picked up earlier.

The teaching process was quite straightforward, but it required a lot of patience. Instead of throwing all the technical terms at her at once, I decided to break the workflow down into bite-sized pieces. First, I walked her through how to import footage and trim unnecessary clips step-by-step. Then, I let her have hands-on practice right on her laptop while I watched and guided her whenever she made a mistake. We went through a bit of trial and error when adding transitions and background music, but she caught on remarkably fast.

Looking back, I felt an immense sense of fulfillment when I saw the final product she made. Not only was her video impressive enough to get an A at school, but the experience also taught me a valuable lesson about communication. It made me realize that teaching isn’t just about sharing knowledge; it’s about having the empathy to understand how the other person feels and guiding them with patience.

Sample: Honestly, it depends on the subject matter and the learner’s self-discipline, but generally, a hybrid approach works best. Self-directed learning fosters independence, critical thinking, and the ability to problem-solve on one’s own. However, having a teacher can significantly flatten the learning curve by providing structured guidance, immediate feedback, and correcting bad habits early on, which saves a lot of time.

Question 3: Why do some children find it hard to focus on learning?

Sample: There are several reasons, but the biggest culprit nowadays is digital distraction, particularly social media and short-form video apps that hijack children’s attention spans. Additionally, if the curriculum is taught in a rigid, rote-learning manner rather than through interactive methods, children naturally lose interest because they fail to see the practical application of what they are studying.
