ECE is proud to have supported an outstanding student – Nguyen Kim Thu, who has officially hit the 8.0 IELTS milestone after completing our IA118 course.

Let’s hear from Kim Thu about her journey to achieving an 8.0 band score with the teachers at ECE!

“What I appreciate most about ECE is the scientific, practical, and personalized teaching method tailored to each student’s level. From the very first sessions, I underwent a thorough placement test to identify my strengths and weaknesses in each skill. Based on that, the teachers built a specific roadmap, focusing on exactly what I needed to improve.

I used to be terrified of Writing because I struggled with expression and lacked coherence in my ideas. But thanks to the detailed guidance from my teachers—especially the 1-on-1 feedback sessions—I gained a clear understanding of how to outline effectively, use advanced structures, and avoid common mistakes. Speaking was the skill where I saw the most significant progress. The daily practice environment with teachers and peers, combined with specific feedback after every speaking session, helped me become more confident and fluent.

For Reading and Listening, I learned essential techniques like scanning, skimming, note-taking, and, most importantly, effective time management. Regular practice tests combined with the academic vocabulary system helped me master these two skills.

Beyond that, the dedication, approachability, and constant support from the ECE staff were incredible. Regardless of class size, I always felt personally cared for and saw the seriousness in every lecture. This gave me clear motivation and a constant boost of positive energy.”
