Band 7.0 Sample Answer

Illustrated in the diagram is how instant noodles are systematically manufactured. As can be seen from the process, there are 8 stages in total to turn raw flour into instant noodle packages.

The first stages aim to prepare the noodles. First, flour is delivered from giant storage tanks to the factory. The mixture of flour, water, and oil is then passed through a system of rollers to be flattened. Simultaneously, the dough is formed into sheets and then stripped. Following this, the dough strips are shaped into noodle discs, which are then deep-fried in oil and dried.

The finishing touch revolves around seasoning and packaging. A line of cups, into which the noodle discs are placed, is prepared along with ready-made accompaniments, including dried vegetables and spice packs. These cups are subsequently labelled and sealed, ready to be delivered to retailers and wholesalers.
