IELTS Mock Test Event: Round 2 a Resounding Success

On June 8th, 100 candidates joined our second “IELTS Mock Test: The Real Experience” event, eager and ready to embark on their journey toward IELTS success. Thanks to the meticulous preparation by our organizing team, the session was conducted with the same level of professionalism and rigor as an official exam.

Many candidates often feel overwhelmed during their first IELTS experience, unaccustomed to the pressure of the exam room and the formal procedures involved. This can hinder performance, preventing students from achieving the band score that truly reflects their ability. Understanding these challenges, ECE Center organizes free IELTS mock tests for anyone looking to study for and take the IELTS exam.

Following the success of our first “IELTS Mock Test: The Real Experience,” ECE Language Center received an outpouring of appreciation and encouragement from parents and students alike. This has been a great motivation for us to organize more practical and meaningful testing sessions, allowing students to gain experience and build confidence before the official exam.

On June 8th, the Center hosted 100 more candidates out of over 400 applicants at Ly Thai To Primary School in Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi. Staying true to our “Real Experience” motto, all preparations and exam procedures were carried out with strict adherence to official standards.

The second mock test featured 9 rooms in total: 3 for Listening, Reading, and Writing, and 6 for Speaking. Starting at 7:30 AM, candidates arrived promptly to check in. The organizers scheduled each skill session according to strict timings; candidates were required to present personal identification and store all non-essential belongings before entering the exam area, just as they would in a real test.

In the Listening, Reading, and Writing rooms, two professional invigilators were assigned to each to explain the rules, distribute papers, and ensure the exam was conducted with integrity. Candidates in these rooms completed all three sections consecutively over a 3-hour period: the Listening test (40 minutes, including 10 minutes for transferring and checking answers), followed by the 60-minute Reading test and the 60-minute Writing test.

Among the four skills, IELTS Speaking often causes the most anxiety, as it is the only section where candidates face an examiner directly. To help students build mental resilience and composure, ECE Language Center invited 6 international examiners—all seasoned IELTS experts who are deeply familiar with assessment criteria—to help students practice their Speaking skills.

Each of the 6 Speaking rooms was staffed by one assistant and one international examiner. Candidates participated in a 1-on-1 session with the examiner according to their scheduled time. Each session lasted approximately 20 minutes and consisted of three parts: an introduction and Q&A, a long turn on a specific topic, and an in-depth discussion related to that topic.

During the Speaking tests, the examiners were highly impressed by the candidates’ confidence, listening comprehension, and ability to respond quickly to the questions posed. Many students stood out for their natural speaking ability and extensive general knowledge.

IELTS results will be available in 10–12 days. For students currently enrolled at ECE, their results will be sent to their instructors for analysis, helping to identify and address any gaps in skills or knowledge.

Additionally, we offer personalized consultations to highlight your strengths and areas for improvement, providing a tailored roadmap to help you reach your target IELTS band score in the shortest time possible.

Due to the overwhelming number of applicants and our current capacity to host 150 students per session, many were unable to join this particular event. However, to help you assess your current proficiency and choose the right study path, ECE offers regular, free skill tests at our center. These sessions cover all 4 skills just like the real exam, and include professional grading, analysis, and study advice from our expert teachers.
