STUDENT BENEFITS AT ECE

1. Feedback on Teaching Quality

Students at ECE have the right to provide suggestions and feedback on the quality of teaching and services throughout their study period to ensure their rights are protected. Contact information:

Official channels of the center:

Student’s personal channels:

  • Dedicated academic support staff for each class (while employed at the center)
  • Direct class instructors (while employed at the center)

2. Make-up Classes

The first 10 sessions cover core course material, and the center requires students to attend all of them. If a student misses any of the first 10 sessions, the center will not arrange make-up classes.

  • If a student must miss a class, they must notify the center at least 2 hours before the class begins to arrange a make-up class according to the center’s schedule. Attending a make-up class is still counted as a missed session to ensure quality. (Students who arrive late or miss class without permission will not be eligible for make-up classes).
  • The center does not guarantee specific make-up class times. If a student is unable to attend two scheduled make-up classes, that make-up session will be canceled. The center will not be held responsible.
  • ECE Center only guarantees outcomes for students who attend classes, take exams, and complete all assignments as required by the center.

If a student requests to miss a class due to personal reasons and cannot attend their regular schedule, they must notify the center at least 2 hours before the class begins and make-up arrangements will be as follows:

  • For offline classes: Students can make up the missed session in another class of the same level, subject to the center’s regulations.
  • For online classes: Students will be sent a video recording of the session to review the missed class.

3. Course Changes

Students who wish to change courses should notify the center as soon as possible. The center will only approve course changes in the following cases:

  • The course level is not suitable for the student’s learning ability (only applicable if the student finds the course unsuitable within the first 2 sessions).
  • The course schedule conflicts with the student’s sudden study/work schedule.

Students are allowed to change courses only once. The course change fee is 1,000,000 VND.

4. Course Suspension and Transfer Rights

Course suspension is only applicable to students who have paid 100% of the tuition fee and have a valid reason (e.g., military service, medical treatment required by a healthcare facility, etc.). Students who have requested a suspension are not eligible for a refund but are permitted to transfer their tuition fee to another person.

  • The center does not assist in finding a transferee for the course; students must take the initiative. The transferee must complete all required entrance tests and comply with the course’s academic regulations.
  • Students are allowed to suspend their course only once.
  • The course suspension fee is equal to the tuition fee for the sessions the student has already attended.
  • Students can only request a course suspension within the first 5 sessions of the course. If a student has attended more than 5 sessions, they will not be eligible for course suspension.
  • The maximum suspension period is 90 days from the date the student completes the suspension procedure. Students must proactively contact the center to arrange their return to study before the suspension period expires. If the 90-day suspension period is exceeded, students will need to retake the entrance test to reassess their proficiency.

NOTE: In cases where a student is hospitalized with a medical certificate from a healthcare facility, the center will provide a free course suspension for the duration of the student’s required treatment and recovery.

5. Refunds

The center will only refund tuition fees in the following cases:

  • ECE Center is unable to open a class as scheduled. Students will receive a 100% tuition refund or be transferred to another class of the same level, according to the student’s preference.
  • Students requesting a refund due to personal reasons at least 7 days before the course start date will receive a 70% tuition refund. Requests will be processed within 7 business days. After this 7-day period, the tuition fee will be refunded via bank transfer using the information provided by the student.

NOTE:

  • The reservation fee is a deposit for course registration and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • The center does not refund tuition fees once the course has started.

6. Tuition Fee Reductions

– The center offers tuition fee discounts for students who register for a combo of 2 or more courses. Registering for a 2-course combo will receive a 10% discount on the total tuition fee, and 3 or more courses will receive a 15% discount on the total tuition fee.

7. Outcome Guarantee

The center guarantees outcomes for students who meet the following conditions:

  • Students achieve the required entrance score for the course.
  • Students do not miss more classes than permitted by the course regulations.
  • Students complete 100% of assigned homework during the course.
  • Students attend all classes fully and on time. (If a student is more than 20 minutes late, it will be counted as half a missed session. Two late arrivals will be counted as one missed session. If a student is frequently late, the center will not guarantee the outcome).
  • Students complete the center’s end-of-course test within 15 days of the course end date to accurately assess their post-course proficiency.
  • Students must not violate regulations regarding homework completion or academic integrity during assessments.

For students who meet all the above conditions but do not achieve the required IELTS outcome score for the course, the center will arrange for the student to retake the course of the same level once for free, or provide 3 one-on-one supplementary sessions with a tutor. This must be done within 90 days from the date the student takes the final test at the center. (If a student continues to self-study and takes the official exam with the BC or IDP examination board, the center’s outcome guarantee applies for a maximum of 90 days from the course end date).

8. High Achiever Awards

  • The center offers support for students registering for the IELTS exam with IDP and BC. Students who need assistance should contact the center for guidance on exam registration.
  • Additionally, the center has an award policy for students who achieve high scores, exceeding their target band, in exams taken with IDP and BC. After taking the exam, students should submit their score feedback to the center to receive an award, ranging from 300,000 – 500,000 VND per student.

ECE’S RESPONSIBILITIES TO STUDENTS

1. Entrance Level Assessment

All students are required to take an entrance test before registering for courses at ECE English. ECE English will accurately assess a student’s initial proficiency through a 4-skill test: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. The test structure is 100% identical to actual exam papers, with equivalent difficulty, as validated by ECE English’s academic department. The test is completely free of charge.

The test is conducted in person at ECE English centers. If a student cannot attend in person, the center will offer flexibility for them to take the test online.

Students will receive their test results and detailed feedback for each skill directly from ECE English’s highly qualified teachers within 1 to 3 days.

2. Developing a Suitable Study Plan

ECE English is responsible for developing a study plan tailored to each student’s entrance level and outcome goals. Additionally, the center provides study materials throughout the learning process.

The teaching materials used at the center are exclusively developed by ECE English. ECE English continuously updates and supplements its curriculum annually based on student feedback, as well as to align with trends and changes in exam formats.

Throughout their studies at ECE English, students will receive close attention from teachers and academic support staff. Teachers will observe in-class learning, homework completion, and provide ongoing assessments to optimize the study program for each student.

Students have the right to provide feedback on the study plan and the class offered by the center.

3. Addressing Student Feedback

ECE English is responsible for receiving, supporting, and resolving any issues students may encounter regarding teaching quality and service quality throughout their studies at the center, in the shortest possible time.
